Work ExperienceJill Steele-McGhee is Vice President of
Real Estate Development of ROC Incorporated. Jill provides
executive leadership for all ROC Incorporated real estate
development projects. She is responsible for managing commercial
and residential real estate practices, including finance,
acquisition, valuation, project management and asset management.
Jill is an experienced leader and is effective in her approach
of negotiating real estate agreements (including purchase and
sale, development, construction/design-build/architectural
services, leases, and real estate loans). A Maryland licensed
real estate agent with 13 years of experience in urban sales and
community development, Jill also assists the REO Asset Manager
with the marketing and sales of REO properties managed by ROC
Incorporated. Jill joined the ROC team because of its focus in
urban real estate development and commitment to the success of
its clients through hard work and innovative approaches to
problem solving.
Jill brings a wealth of talent and experience to ROC
Incorporated. As the Senior Project Manager for Marenberg
Enterprises, she managed residential and commercial real estate
development projects from conception to sales and/or lease. She
also managed the homeownership and sales/marketing components of
5 HOPE VI and mixed income developments in the Mid-Atlantic
area, working with regional developers, such as, Pennrose
Properties, LLC. Jill continues to consult with Marenberg
Enterprises on homeownership and sales/marketing in urban areas,
i.e., Newark, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, PA and Camden, NJ.
Having a diverse career in real estate development, Jill also
served as a Real Estate Development Manager for private
developers, Hersch Lauren, LLC, and non-profit community base
developers, Neighborhood Housing Services/Neighborhood Rental
Services. Jill managed the development of affordable housing
projects to stabilize Baltimore neighborhoods (i.e., Butchers
Hill, Reservoir Hill, Patterson Park and Middle East). During a
four year period, Jill leverage over $14 million dollars,
including NeighborWorks®, Low Income Housing Tax Credits, state,
local, and private funds, to develop over 120 affordable, safe,
high quality housing for homeownership and rental.
Jill continues her commitment to affordable housing through
providing homeownership advisory services to workforce families
in the Baltimore metropolitan area. As a Homeownership
Consultant with Innovative Housing Institute, Jill successful
created homeownership opportunities for 8 public housing
residents participating in the Housing Authority of Baltimore
City Section 8 Special Mobility Program. Through her intensive
homeownership advisory and education services, Jill created 6
additional homeowners from Baltimore's Cherry Hill community in
2008.

Jill has a Bachelors of Science in Sociology from the
University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Masters of Public
Administration from University of Baltimore.
